Wastewalker RPG is a 10-level setting and system hack for the Starfinder Role Playing Game developed by Nate Petersen of Neo Productions Unlimited. Based heavily on an abbreviated beginner box ruleset, Wastewalker aims to generate new games and new worlds quickly, surprising players and game masters alike!
Development
Wastewalker is a post-apocalyptic game setting and resource that has been under development in one way, shape, or form, for the last seven years. Originally starting out as a serious modification of the Paizo Pathfinder Role Playing Game, their eventual release of the simplified and streamlined Starfinder system, and its subsequent beginner box rules set, meant the mechanics underwent regular updates and overhauls.

Developer Nate Petersen spends a considerable amount of his time world building and game running. While he has a love of detailed worlds, preparing them is much of his fun and running them happens less than he would like. In conjunction with the quick, streamlined, rule set, he has collected, edited, and developed a series of rule subsets and systems that make world building and exploration a part of the game! With a number of mini-games and subsystems designed to link elements together, player and game master can quickly develop their own post apocalyptic world that is exciting to explore together!

Player and Petersen’s daughter Genevieve Petersen has been an invaluable aid in building out these exciting subsystems! A more than ecstatic playtester, Genevieve’s imagination has fueled a number of quests into the world of mystery, made all the easier by the variety of tools at their disposal.
